Production technology
Yaxing adopts the PVDC technology held by SK Geo Centric, which is a mature industrial technology developed by SK Geo Centric based on the acquisition of Dow Chemical's PVDC factory in the United States. This technology is globally leading, highly automated, and capable of producing high-end barrier products of PVDC-MA and PVDC-VC with multiple grades, meeting the needs of customers in various fields.
Product features:
Polyvinylidene Chloride (PVDC) is a copolymer mainly composed of vinylidene chloride (VDC) monomer, which is non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendly. The high crystallinity and density of PVDC determine its excellent high barrier properties against water vapor and other gases. Additionally, PVDC has excellent properties such as fresh-keeping, aroma retention, corrosion resistance and heat resistance.

Product characteristics
(1)The primary feature of PVDC films is to provide oxygen barrier or moisture barrier protection for food products.
(2)The PVDC polymer has one of the highest barrier properties to small molecules (oxygen, water vapor, flavor/aroma molecules, …).
(3)The intrinsic high barrier properties of PVDC polymers provides an opportunity to increase the length of shelf-life of food products. Alternatively, if additional shelf-life is not needed, the overall thickness of the film structure can be decreased (down gauge) to reduce the overall cost of the film packaging while maintaining the desired shelf-life performance.
(4) The barrier property of PVDC polymers is not affected by moisture (humidity). Whereas EVOH barrier polymers are greatly affected negatively by moisture. The excellent moisture performance of PVDC polymers makes it very suitable for retort applications (for example: chub sausage film).
(5)Multilayer thin film structures using PVDC polymers as the barrier layer allow for high performance packaging by combining the excellent physical properties of the skin layers with an excellent barrier layer.

The performance of VDC copolymers varies with the different comonomers, and can produce products such as PVDC-MA and PVDC-VC for various purposes according to different user requirements.

Application of PVDC:
PVDC is an excellent packaging material, widely used in the barrier packaging field for food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Its exceptional barrier properties against oxygen and water make it unparalleled in the packaging of meat products.
(1) In the field of packaging for quick-frozen products, it can be used as refrigerator fresh-keeping film, packaging bags for frozen food, etc.
(2) In the field of high-temperature steaming-boiling packaging, it can be used as casing film for high-temperature sterilization, cling film for microwave heating, etc.
(3) In the field of cold & fresh food packaging, it can be used as a shrink film, shrink bag, etc. for cold & fresh meat.
(4) In the field of low-temperature product packaging, it can be used for multi-layer packaging co-extrusion films used for traditional low-temperature products.
(5) In the field of packing for other food, due to its excellent barrier performance, it can delay food spoilage, extend product shelf life, and prevent food taste deterioration, is widely used in packaging fields such as ham sausages, cheese, soups, snacks, dry food packaging, biscuits and cereals, pet food, etc.
(6) In the field of pharmaceutical packaging, PVDC pharmaceutical packaging has good barrier performance against water, light, and odor. And its barrier stability to water vapor and oxygen greatly increases the shelf life of products.
(7) Other applications: PVDC is widely used in the packaging of various products such as chemicals, cosmetics, electronic devices, hardware products, precision parts, and other products that require oxygen, moisture, gas, oil barriers, preservation, and mould proof, due to its excellent performance. Its application scope is broad.
